Boutique Hotel Upstate, New York

This small hotel chose us to design/build their total mechanical systems during the construction phase. We recommended that a hydronic radiant heating system be installed due to the high ceilings, large glass areas, and northern exposure. Since this also is situated in a mountainous area, this type of heating system would ensure a reduction in airborne pollen, dust, and other germs as well as drawing off moisture and humidity destroying bacteria and, in particular, dust mites. Another important aspect of radiant heat is the energy savings caused by the lower operating temperatures required and thus creating a green effect. We installed three boilers to allow for built-in redundancy as you can see from the photos. Other photos depict the manifold installation in progress, our work force laying the PEX tubing (polyethylene) and the layout for a portion of common rooms on the first floor.
